Job Description
We are looking for a Business Management intern to help with running our business and grow it as we expand internationally. The MBA intern will strategize product development, branding, marketing, and partnerships for our core product line of Men's and Women's T-shirts and sweatshirts. The successful candidate will work as a member of a passionate, start-up company in a fast-paced, creative, challenging environment making fashion-forward products.
โ€ข Location: Brooklyn, NY (option to work remotely based on needs)
โ€ข Start date: Aug, 2015 (second/third week)
โ€ข End date: 3-6 months, to be determined based on need of company and availability of intern
โ€ข Hours: 15-25 hours/week
โ€ข Compensation: Unpaid
Qualifications
You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the field to understand our opportunities and find innovative solutions for growing our brand's reach and presence in the e-commerce market.
The MBA intern will:
โ€ข Assist with all aspects of product development from initial concept to final production receipt
โ€ข Conduct cost analysis and e-commerce inventory management
โ€ข Assist with product development and strategy, liaising with factories regarding new product details, samples, new product ordering, and quality control/assessment
โ€ข Conduct quality control/assessment of new products
โ€ข Develop, analyze and implement innovative online and pop-up sales strategies
โ€ข Support the development of LP brand identity, marketing strategy, and publicity
โ€ข Implement strategies to increase sales and brand awareness
โ€ข Manage on-site inventory and fulfill customer orders
โ€ข Liaise with nonprofit partners and build relationships with them for LP
โ€ข Ensure excellent customer service
Desired skills:
โ€ข 3 years management experience, preferably in an operations or e-commerce role
โ€ข Who has demonstrated leadership ability, strong analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills
โ€ข Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external partners of all levels.
โ€ข Must be highly organized, detail oriented and be able to work independently with strong project management skills.
โ€ข Strong MS Office tools experience: Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.
โ€ข Must be able to work around deadlines, short turn around times.
Additional Information
Scheduling:
The position is 15-25 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible. The intern will work remotely, on site, and will also participate in calls with the Managing Director and team, in addition to meetings and events.
