Berks Career & Technology Center (BCTC) is seeking a dedicated Business Management & Entrepreneurship Instructor to inspire and prepare the next generation of young people with the skills, knowledge and drive to become business leaders and entrepreneurs.
About Us: BCTC is a premier career and technical education center and school of choice serving high school and adult learners through highly relevant, hands-on programs aligned directly with business and industry needs.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in business management principles, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, marketing, accounting, business planning, project management, and emerging business technologies. Experience operating or managing a business, developing entrepreneurial initiatives, and collaborating with industry partners is highly desirable.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Business Ed, Marketing, or related field.
  • MBA/master degree in related field desired but not required.
  • Minimum four (4) years of full-time wage-earning experience in business management principles, entrepreneurship, marketing and business planning beyond the training period.
  • Must hold a Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies (CIP Code: 52.0701) in Business, Computer & Information Technology 1603, or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Strong technical, communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Work schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 a.m. 3:15 p.m. (7 hours/day), 10-months (190 days). Includes six evening functions annually and two extended faculty meetings per month.

Starting salary is based on experience and the negotiated professional union salary matrix with annual increases.
