THE POSITION

The Co-op will join a team supporting Wellington Leaders, with exposure to the financial services industry. In this role, the Co-op will assist with a mix of ongoing initiatives and short-term projects related to investment operations, governance, documentation, and research.

The Co-op will collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders, including Investment Management, Operations, and Investment Administration, and may also interact with external partners. This position provides hands-on experience across different stages of fund and transaction lifecycles and offers a valuable opportunity to gain insight into how a global investment management firm operates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking one Co-op for this role. The individual will have a combination of shared responsibilities with other Co-ops, as well as individual assignments aligned with their interests and strengths. Responsibilities may include:

  • Reviewing, organizing, and supporting the production of investment- or fund-related materials
  • Assisting with data entry, database population, and document management
  • Conducting research and analysis related to business initiatives or market developments
  • Supporting process reviews and identifying gaps or improvement opportunities
  • Assisting with record maintenance and retention activities
  • Coordinating information, materials, or approvals across teams

These responsibilities provide broad exposure to the operational and analytical aspects of the investment management business.

QUALIFICATIONS

This role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, given the project-based nature of the work. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive tasks.

A strong candidate will demonstrate professionalism, intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm for learning, and an interest in financial markets. A sense of humor and a collaborative mindset are valued.

Strong academic credentials are required. A background or interest in business, finance, economics, or related fields is preferred. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
