Job Purpose

As a Business Development Manager, you'll spearhead customer acquisition and account growth across Scout Freight’s specialized service offerings—such as dry/liquid bulk, heavy haul, managed transportation, open-deck, drop-trailer, and temperature-controlled solutions. • Coordinate with internal teams, including operations and carriers, to align sales efforts with delivery capabilities and supply chain execution.
  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators—loading accuracy, transit times, customer satisfaction—to continuously optimize sales strategy.
  • Nurture long-term partnerships, building trust through consistency, integrity, and a deep commitment to client success.
  • Stay agile and adaptable, embracing challenges as Scout Freight scales and innovates across services.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Logistics, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–5+ years in logistics, broker sales, or account management, with familiarity in specialized freight services preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; proficiency in logistics systems, and data-driven decision-making.

Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and sales strategy skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Collaborative team player with adaptability and eagerness to learn.
  • Analytical mindset focused on improving processes and outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits
