To thrive as a Business Intern, you need foundational knowledge in business principles, strong analytical skills, and current enrollment in a business-related degree program. Familiarity with productivity software like Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools such as Excel or Tableau, and CRM systems is often expected. Effective communication, eagerness to learn, and adaptability help interns stand out in dynamic business environments. These qualities are crucial for contributing meaningfully to projects, supporting teams, and gaining practical experience that prepares you for future roles.

What are business internships?

Business internships are temporary work experiences offered by companies to students or recent graduates interested in learning about various business functions. Interns gain practical skills in areas such as marketing, finance, operations, or management while working on real projects under the guidance of experienced professionals. These internships can last from a few weeks to several months and often help participants build valuable networks and enhance their resumes. Many business internships can also lead to full-time job offers after completion.

Is $30 an hour good for an intern?

Factors such as industry, location, and required skills influence internship compensation levels.
