What You Can Expect In This Role
This is a great role for someone who is part data detective, part business translator, and part "let's get to one version of the truth" champion. The Business Intelligence Analyst is a business-facing analytics role focused on turning data into trusted reporting, clear insights, and decision-ready outputs that help leaders manage the business with confidence. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data, shaping it into useful outputs, and communicating what it means in a clear, actionable way.
Analyze, report, monitor, and ensure the accuracy of statistical data, reporting outputs, and business insights for company and agent production pertaining to sales campaigns, rewards programs, and any company-sponsored venture. • Maintain integrity, accuracy, consistency, and continuity between business intelligence reporting systems and data; understand data sources to determine how and where data can be collected; investigate available data; identify, recommend, and build sources to solve business needs (create efficiencies and opportunities).
• Collaborate with SMEs and IT teams to maintain clear metric definitions, business context, and report documentation that improve self-service reporting and help ensure consistent answers across dashboards and AI-enabled analytical experiences.
• Effectively translate and communicate analysis results, insights, and recommendations through clear narratives, data visualizations, and decision-ready reporting tailored to the audience; present findings through dashboards, presentations, collaboration tools, and verbal communication to support understanding, retention, and action.
• Monitor recurring reports and underlying data for quality, reconciliation, and unusual pattern or volume changes; support root cause analysis and corrective action to maintain trusted reporting outputs and a single source of truth.
• Perform data abstraction, cleansing, validation, modeling, interpretation, and reporting.
• Gain and maintain knowledge on how the business intelligence and reporting responsibilities relate to other key departmental and executive office functions.
• Integrate information from a variety of sources; detect trends, associations, and cause-and-effect relationships.
• Assist with cross-training objectives; keep all procedures current and well documented.
• Maintain positive relationships and act as an analytics and reporting liaison with departments such as Contracting, Commissions, New Business, and Policy Change to ensure the data received is correct and there is open communication of processes; develop an understanding of the various business processes.
• Own ongoing trust monitoring for AI-assisted reporting outputs by performing reconciliations, validating exceptions, escalating issues, and documenting feedback needed to improve metric definitions, reporting logic, and report reliability.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the company core values and SLS concepts on a regular basis.
• Drive and reinforce commitment to internal controls processes such as those under Model Audit Rule and Record Information Management.
