Senior Business Intelligence Developer
Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid – 1 day onsite, 4 days remote)
Duration: 13-week contract with strong potential for direct hire
Conversion Salary: $83,200 – $104,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Interview Process: Two-person Microsoft Teams interview (30–60 minutes)
Position Overview
Henry Ford Health is seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions supporting Value Based Care and Population Health initiatives. This role partners closely with business leaders, physicians, and executives to transform complex healthcare data into meaningful insights that improve operational and clinical performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex SQL datasets, reports, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions.
- Build data models, data marts, and curated datasets for enterprise reporting.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions.
- Develop Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI reports for operational and executive leadership.
- Support Population Health, Revenue Cycle, Case Management, Utilization Management, and Value Based Care analytics.
- Analyze charge, payment, claims, billing, and financial data.
- Document technical processes, workflows, and reporting solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders ranging from analysts to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–5+ years of Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Development experience.
- Expert-level SQL with experience building datasets, reports, and reporting solutions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, SSRS, Qlik, Looker, or similar BI tools.
- Experience with relational databases, data modeling, data warehousing, or semantic models.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and customer-facing communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic or other Electronic Medical Record (EMR) reporting.
- Healthcare analytics experience.
- Knowledge of Revenue Cycle, Population Health, or Value Based Care reporting.
- Familiarity with dimensional modeling and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience using source control or code repositories.
