The Financial & Administrative Applications Manager is responsible for the operational leadership, support, administration, and continuous improvement of the Firm's financial and administrative application portfolio. This role provides leadership for application support, operational reporting, vendor management, service delivery, incident management, and application lifecycle activities across a diverse portfolio of business-critical systems. The position works closely with business stakeholders, application owners, technology teams, and vendors to ensure systems remain stable, reliable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. 

The Financial & Administrative Applications Manager is accountable for the day-to-day operational success of the Firm's financial and administrative applications while driving improvements in service delivery, support processes, user experience, and operational efficiency. Essential functions include: 

Application Support & Service Delivery 

  • Lead the support, administration, and operational management of the Firm's financial and administrative application portfolio. 
  • Ensure timely resolution of application issues and service requests while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. 
  • Establish and monitor service levels, operational metrics, and performance indicators. 
  • Drive continuous improvement of support processes, workflows, and user experience. 
  • Provide leadership during application incidents, outages, and production support activities. 

Operational Leadership 

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for application support, reporting, and operations team members. 
  • Establish team priorities, workload management processes, and operational objectives. 
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, customer service, and operational excellence throughout the team. 
  • Support cross-training and knowledge-sharing initiatives to reduce dependency on individual contributors. 

Business Relationship Management 

  • Develop strong partnerships with Finance, Accounting, Billing, Procurement, Revenue Cycle Operations, HR, Pricing and other business stakeholders. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor regarding application capabilities, limitations, opportunities, and operational improvements. 
  • Facilitate discussions related to application enhancements, support issues, system utilization, and process improvements. 
  • Ensure stakeholder expectations are understood and effectively managed. 

Vendor Management 

  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with application vendors, consultants, and service providers. 
  • Manage vendor support relationships and escalation processes. 
  • Participate in application roadmap discussions and product enhancement opportunities. 
  • Coordinate vendor involvement for upgrades, issue resolution, and strategic initiatives. 

Reporting, Analytics & Business Intelligence 

  • Lead the delivery and support of operational reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions supporting Finance, Accounting, Billing, Procurement, Human Resources, Risk Management, and other business functions. 
  • Oversee the design, development, maintenance, and support of reporting solutions utilizing Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and related reporting technologies. 
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and opportunities to improve operational visibility and decision making. 
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, governance, and usability across reporting platforms. 
  • Support development of executive dashboards, operational metrics, KPIs, and analytical reporting solutions. 
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve data accessibility and reporting capabilities across enterprise applications. 

Application Lifecycle Management 

  • Support planning and coordination of application upgrades, enhancements, and releases. 
  • Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, and business teams to ensure successful implementation activities. 
  • Participate in testing, validation, readiness reviews, and deployment planning. 
  • Ensure appropriate documentation, training, and support materials are maintained. 

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement 

  • Identify opportunities to improve system stability, support efficiency, operational processes, and user satisfaction. 
  • Develop and implement best practices for application support, service management, and operational governance. 
  • Drive initiatives that improve reliability, automation, monitoring, and overall operational effectiveness. 
  • Support strategic planning activities related to the Firm's financial and administrative systems roadmap.

POSITION REQUIRMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams, projects, or operational functions. 
  • Experience supporting financial, accounting, administrative, or legal technology platforms preferred. 
  • Experience working within professional services, legal, financial services, or similar environments preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of financial, administrative, and operational business processes. 
  • Experience supporting enterprise financial systems, ERP platforms, HR systems, and related business applications. 
  • Experience with Elite 3E, Intapp products, UKG, or comparable enterprise platforms preferred. 
  • Experience supporting reporting and business intelligence platforms. 
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development, reporting, data modeling concepts, and business analytics. 
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report development, administration, and support. 
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts preferred. 
  • Experience working with application integrations, data flows, and enterprise reporting architectures. 
  • Strong customer service, stakeholder relationship management, and vendor management skills.

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

  • State of Colorado: $125,000 - $220,000
  • State of Connecticut: $108,000 - $272,000
  • State of Illinois: $122,000 - $237,000
  • State of Maine: $92,000 - $212,000
  • State of Maryland: $131,000 - $199,000
  • State of Massachusetts: $135,000 - $258,000
  • State of Minnesota: $135,000 - $224,000
  • Jersey City, NJ: $147,000 - $266,000
  • State of New York: $126,000 - $272,000
  • State of Vermont: $134,000 - $257,000
  • State of Virginia: $88,000 - $257,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
