About the Role

The Research Analyst supports business development growth initiatives by delivering actionable market intelligence, identifying emerging opportunities, and providing research-driven insights across strategic markets. With a primary focus on Data Center infrastructure, this role partners closely with Account Executives to research market trends, track project activity, identify target companies and decision-makers, and develop reports that support business development efforts and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate is analytical, resourceful, and naturally curious, with the ability to transform information into actionable business insights. Success in this role requires adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage priorities in a dynamic environment. This individual will proactively develop and improve research processes, identify emerging opportunities, and support evolving business development initiatives. While Data Centers will be a primary focus, the Research Analyst will support a range of strategic growth markets as business needs evolve. Candidates with backgrounds in construction, commercial real estate, infrastructure, market research, business intelligence, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Salary Range: $65,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

 Market Intelligence & Industry Research 

  • Monitor and analyze Data Center industry trends, market activity, construction developments, and emerging growth opportunities.
  • Conduct research across additional strategic industries and market sectors as business priorities evolve.
  • Research key market drivers, major investments, industry participants, and regional developments affecting targeted growth markets.
  • Conduct competitive, market, and account research to support strategic business development initiatives.
  • Develop summaries, reports, and presentations that provide actionable insights.

Project Identification & Opportunity Tracking

  • Identify and track early-stage Data Center, construction, infrastructure, and other strategic project opportunities.
  • Research projects through public filings, industry sources, market intelligence platforms, and other research methods.
  • Research project stakeholders including owners, developers, contractors, engineering firms, consultants, and investors.
  • Maintain and continuously update project pipelines and market intelligence repositories.
  • Evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on project stage, market conditions, and strategic fit.

Business Development Support

  • Research target accounts and key organizations within the Data Center ecosystem and other strategic growth markets.
  • Identify decision-makers and key contacts to support Account Executive prospecting and engagement activities.
  • Develop company profiles, stakeholder maps, and account intelligence reports.
  • Partner with business development teams to support pursuit strategies and client engagement efforts.

Reporting and Data Management

  • Prepare recurring market intelligence reports, dashboards, and project tracking updates.
  • Collect, organize, and validate research data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Maintain CRM and research databases to ensure information accuracy and usability.
  • Recommend improvements to research processes, reporting tools, and data management practices.

Process Development and Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and refine research methodologies, tracking tools, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data collection, market intelligence, and business development support activities.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that increase the quality, consistency, and accessibility of research outputs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Market Research, Data Analytics, Construction Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Certifications: None required
  • Experience:
    • 3-7 years of experience in market research, business intelligence, business development support, competitive analysis, commercial real estate research, construction research, or a related field.
    • Experience supporting sales, business development, strategic planning, or market intelligence functions preferred.
    • Exposure to Data Centers, construction, infrastructure, engineering, energy, utilities, or commercial real estate industries is highly desirable.
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, CRM platforms, and reporting tools.
