Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build institutional advocacy to drive formulary adoption of rheumatology brands and appropriate utilization of approved products.
  • Create, organize, and execute strategic business plans for key strategic hospitals within designated rheumatology academic and government institutions.
  • Collaborate with local partners to develop and sustain institution-specific business plans based on local market dynamics.
  • Apply deep knowledge of the disease area, market dynamics, competitors, and industry trends to proactively navigate opportunities and challenges.
  • Deliver presentations on products and disease states; share approved clinical data with physicians and their teams; build relationships with clinicians, administrators, and decision-makers.
  • Facilitate cross-functional Area Team Meetings (ATMs) to develop and revise strategies to achieve product access and sales targets.
  • Assess customer needs and provide tailored insights to field and HQ teams; support implementation of new strategies.
  • Identify business opportunities and diagnose business/implementation challenges in assigned hospitals and adjacent markets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree.
  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare (or similar) with large, geographically dispersed sales teams; including 2+ years in hospital sales managing sophisticated accounts (e.g., large academic centers) within the past 5 years.
  • Strong therapeutic area/product knowledge and proven track record.
  • Robust, cross-functional business background in matrix environments.
  • Live within the territory or within 100 miles of its border; travel 60โ€“80%; valid driverโ€™s license.
Desirable:
  • Experience across therapeutic groups/disease states, account strategy, and new product launches.
  • Knowledge of patient services, market access, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, and reimbursement; experience calling on HCPs.
Driving:

Essential function; must have a fully valid, unrestricted driverโ€™s license.

Training:

Complete required initial training (home study; โ‰ค8 hours/day and โ‰ค40 hours/week).

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary expected: $145,600โ€“$270,400/year.
  • Performance-based cash incentive; possible annual equity depending on level.
