POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the delivery of high quality, efficient operations, sales, and service to Bank clients. This includes the professional development of all staff to include proper hiring, training, and coaching of all employees. Primary responsibility for the certifications, operations and audit functions of the retail branch. Participates in branch training and cross-training for all newly hired and existing employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Must adhere to the Core Values of 1st Security Bank and demonstrate dependability and reliability in all aspects of the position
  • Understands and promotes the Bank’s Customer Service Protocols in daily branch operations
  • Completes monthly certifications to ensure compliance with current 1st Security Bank policies and procedures
  • Ensures the branch receives an annual audit score of “Satisfactory”
  • Provides leadership by collaborating with the Branch Manager on providing training and supervision to the Customer Service Representatives and Personal Bankers by scheduling documented weekly coaching sessions with each team member
  • Assists the Manager in attaining branch goals by coaching employees on their sales and referral activities
  • Meets weekly with the Branch Manager to discuss retail updates, tasks, and employee status and referral goals
  • Provides skills training, cross-training for advancement, and supervision to employees by scheduling documented weekly coaching sessions with each team member and utilizing their Branch Development Plan
  • Provides operational support by communicating, implementing, and monitoring compliance with Bank policies and procedures
  • Must know the features and benefits of 1st Security’s products and services
  • Required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of teller, vault and safe deposit box to support and back-up the team when needed
  • Performs Personal Banker functions/duties, including opening new accounts for both consumers and business customers, as needed
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize job responsibilities, as required, while maintaining organization
  • Ensures excellent customers service skills are practiced by all staff members
  • Professional oral and written communication skills and follow-up when corresponding with employees and customers
  • Ensures sufficient staff coverage to meet customer needs
  • Primary contact for branch facility issues
  • Maximizes income and minimizes expense through ongoing improvements of branch procedures and practices
  • In the absence of the branch manager, is responsible for branch administration and operations including product sales, customer services, security and safety
  • Researching and problem-solving customer issues or complaints that require a management-level decision.
  • Supports management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner and always represents the bank with a high level of integrity
  • Travels to assigned 1st Security Bank locations as business needs require
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years banking experience and/or experience within a financial institution, including one-year supervisory experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that pertain to this position and must be able to keep up to date on regulation changes.
  • Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures and related programs.
  • Must be bondable.
COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other Database software.

  • As part of the daily work demands, occasional lifting and moving of objects up to 25 pounds is required.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, as compared to a private office, with light foot traffic and office equipment. The employee must be willing and able to interact frequently with the general public.

Salary Range: $25.00 to $36.06 per hour
