Job description

AquaTerra Outdoors is an industry-leading, international award-winning boutique landscape architectural design + build firm based in Carrollton, Texas. We create world-class outdoor environments that blend architecture, artistry, and craftsmanship - and we're growing.

We're seeking an experienced, well-connected Business Development / Lead Designer who has both a designer's eye and a business strategist's mindset. This is a key role for a motivated professional who can generate new opportunities, foster long-term relationships, and deliver high-end outdoor living designs that reflect AquaTerra's reputation for excellence.


What You'll Do: (Experience Requirements)

  • Generate and develop new business through networking, referrals, and partnerships across the DFW market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, builders, designers, and other trade partners to expand our network and pipeline.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, guiding clients from concept through completion with confidence, clarity, and care.
  • Lead the creative design process, ensuring every project reflects AquaTerra's signature quality and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal design, estimating, and project management teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Drive revenue growth, sales performance, and brand reach through strong client connections and a proactive approach to business development.
  • Conduct site visits, design presentations, and construction administration as needed.


What We're Looking For: (Qualifications)

  • An established professional with a developed network in the DFW design/build community.
  • 3+ years of experience in high-end residential landscape architecture, outdoor living design, or related design/build roles.
  • Proven ability in lead generation, client relationship management, and sales growth.
  • Strong design and technical skills; able to translate vision into reality.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both client-facing and internal.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Design, or related field preferred.
  • Portfolio, resume, and references required.
