About the Role

We're looking for an experienced House Account Manager to manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of assigned customer accounts.

This is a sales and account management position focused on customer relationship management, account growth, new business development, customer retention, and revenue growth.

The House Account Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for customers. This role will identify sales opportunities within existing accounts, present products and services, manage customer needs, and build relationships with key decision-makers and executive-level stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or sales professional with strong customer service, communication, negotiation, CRM, and relationship-building skills. Experience with NetSuite CRM and Microsoft Excel is preferred.

What You'll Do
  • Manage a portfolio of house accounts and serve as the primary customer contact.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships while increasing retention and engagement.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, decision-makers, and executive/C-level contacts.
  • Identify sales, upselling, cross-selling, and new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Present and sell products and services based on customer needs and business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts, close sales, and support revenue growth and profitability.
  • Manage customer questions, requests, concerns, and escalations. Provide effective, customer-focused solutions.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Product Development, and other cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and improve the customer experience.
  • Forecast and track sales performance, account metrics, quarterly sales results, annual forecasts, and account growth.
  • Prepare account reports and maintain accurate customer, sales, and opportunity information within the CRM system.
  • Assist Account Executives with replacement-part orders, shipping quotes, and customer requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve account development, customer satisfaction, processes, and sales.
  • Manage multiple accounts, sales opportunities, customer priorities, and deadlines while meeting individual and team sales goals and quotas.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, Business Development Representative, or similar sales or customer-facing role.
  • Demonstrated success managing and growing customer accounts and business relationships.
  • Experience with account management, customer retention, sales development, upselling, cross-selling, and revenue growth.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas, sales targets, and business goals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
  • Ability to communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive and C-level contacts.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, active listening, judgment, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience using CRM software to manage accounts, opportunities, customer information, sales activity, and forecasting. NetSuite preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, projects, and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Service, Product Development, and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% as needed.
  • Ability to work 100% in office at our St. Louis, MO headquarters.
