Job Description

As a Director of New Business Development at Go Local Interactive, you are a results-driven individual with 5+ years of overall sales experience and a minimum of 2 years of new business sales in the digital media industry. You identify, target, and sell prospects in roles from CMO to Digital Marketing Manager within your assigned industry. Your strong communication skills, both oral and written, contribute to your ability to demonstrate how Go Local’s solutions align with the prospects’ stated needs and goals. This position is competitive by nature, requiring a hunger to meet and exceed quotas, but also requires the ability to work within a team structure. 


Job Expectations

  • Prospecting – be able to identify, qualify, contact, and close new business opportunities by understanding how our solutions address specific business needs
  • Conduct daily cold-calls and set qualified introduction meetings 
  • Connect with CMO’s and other digital marketing officers to present and negotiate a win/win solution
  • Present solutions and proposals to high-level decision-makers
  • Collaborate with our internal marketing team to ideate and create a solution that meets each client's specific needs
  • Negotiate profitable contracts to closed won
  • Communicate information received from prospective and current clients internally to the appropriate product teams 
  • Collaborate with the Account Strategy Department to smoothly transition new clients into the agency 
  • Research and stay up-to-date on industry and vertical trends and competition 
  • Meet/Exceed monthly/quarterly sales goals
  • Accountable to an annual sales revenue of a minimum of $600,000 and monthly sales activity metrics to be established by your direct supervisor 
Requirements:

Job Qualifications

  • Proven track record of the ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a flexible and fast-paced environment to effectively meet goals and deadlines
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated track record of successful sales efforts to digital marketing decision makers
  • Ability to negotiate and form mutually beneficial relationships
  • Proficiency using Salesforce
  • A solid understanding of the SEO and online paid media space

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications or another related field preferred 
  • 2+ years of professional experience selling in the digital marketing space
  • 5+ years in the sales profession
