We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our tax recovery team, focusing on sales tax refund reviews. The ideal candidate will analyze transaction-level data, identify overpaid taxes, and support the preparation of refund claims. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with sales tax regulations.

Responsibilities
โ€ข Analyze large datasets of purchase transactions to identify overpaid sales tax.
โ€ข Reconcile tax amounts using tax rates, exemptions, and jurisdictional rules.
โ€ข Work closely with tax consultants to prepare refund claims and supporting documentation.
โ€ข Utilize SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools to extract and manipulate data.
โ€ข Identify trends and patterns in sales tax overpayments.
โ€ข Assist in automating processes to improve data extraction and analysis efficiency.
โ€ข Communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
Qualifications
โ€ข Availability: This is an in-office, onsite 5x per week position.
