Job description

About the Role
Are you a hands-on operational leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments? We are looking for a Branch Manager to lead and scale our branch operations by driving accountability, protecting margins, developing talent, and ensuring exceptional project execution.
In this role, you will own the branch as a business β€” overseeing financial performance, operational excellence, team development, customer relationships, and delivery standards. You will partner closely with Operations, Project Management, Sales, and Field Leadership to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
The ideal candidate is a strong operator who understands low-voltage technology infrastructure, construction execution, and financial controls. This leader will strengthen existing processes, build high-performing teams, and create the operational discipline required to support continued growth.
What You'll Own – Lead with Accountability. Deliver with Discipline.
  • Own branch performance including revenue, gross margin, labor productivity, WIP, billing, backlog conversion, forecasting, and cost-to-complete accuracy.
  • Monitor job costing, labor utilization, committed costs, and project financial performance to identify risks early and drive corrective action.
  • Analyze and mitigate project risks including scope gaps, change exposure, schedule impacts, cost overruns, and customer concerns.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting is maintained to support operational and financial decision-making.
  • Partner with leadership to achieve branch revenue, margin, and profitability objectives.
  • Lead branch operations by establishing clear expectations, accountability, and consistent execution standards.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery without unnecessary operational overlap. Ensure teams consistently follow best practices related to project setup, scheduling, procurement, resource planning, closeout, and documentation.
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with customer expectations.
  • Review active projects to evaluate schedule, manpower needs, procurement requirements, risks, and overall execution.
  • Ensure project teams maintain accurate job costing, reporting, forecasting, and documentation.
  • Support escalation and resolution of project challenges related to field operations, customer expectations, and project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations.
  • Provide operational leadership and technical guidance across low-voltage technology infrastructure projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
  • Support estimating and sales efforts by providing operational insight into scope, risk, capacity, and execution requirements.
  • Represent the company professionally with customers, general contractors, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Build trusted relationships while protecting company interests and commercial objectives.
  • Provide proactive communication regarding project status, risks, schedule impacts, resource needs, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales and Estimating teams to support strategic growth opportunities.
  • Build and develop a high-performing branch team through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and accountability.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop employees who align with company values and operational expectations.
  • Strengthen leadership capabilities across Operations Managers, Project Managers, field leaders, technicians, and support teams.
  • Identify skill gaps and create development opportunities to build bench strength.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in specialty trade contracting, low-voltage systems, technology infrastructure, electrical, security, AV, data center, or mission-critical construction.
  • Previous experience as a Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Area Manager, or P amp;L-focused leader.
  • Strong understanding of project financial controls
  • Experience leading Project Managers, field teams, technicians, and operational support staff.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes including scheduling, manpower planning, procurement, change management, and project closeout.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Experience with construction management platforms preferred (CMiC, Procore, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • BICSI certifications (RCDD preferred) or industry certifications preferred.
Why Join Us?
  • Lead a branch that plays a critical role in delivering technology infrastructure solutions for customers and communities.
  • Help build operational excellence, develop future leaders, and support continued company growth.
  • Join a team that values accountability, craftsmanship, collaboration, and doing the job right.
  • Enjoy competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.
Work Environment amp; Physical Requirements
  • Work may include both office and active project/construction environments.
  • Must be able to regularly stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and navigate job sites.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
