Job description

The Role: Business Development Representative (BDR)

This role is responsible for initiating conversations, qualifying business owners, and guiding prospects into the consulting process.

You will follow a proven sales process, supported by training, systems, and company-provided leads. While leads are provided, self-sourced and referral leads are strongly encouraged and welcomed.

Once a prospect decides to book a call, you will work alongside an Exit Factor Consultant through the closing process, ensuring a smooth handoff and increasing close rates.

This role does not deliver consulting services or manage clients post-sale.

How This Role Works Internally
  • BDRs engage, qualify, and advance prospects through the early stages

  • Consultants lead the strategy, closing, and delivery

  • BDRs collaborate with Consultants during the sales process and remain involved through close

  • Clear roles, shared goals, and defined handoffs

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Engage business owners through outbound outreach, inbound leads, referrals, and networking

  • Conduct structured discovery conversations using Exit Factor's sales framework

  • Clearly communicate Exit Factor's value proposition and next steps

  • Qualify prospects based on fit, readiness, and opportunity

  • Coordinate and attend calls with Exit Factor Consultants when appropriate

  • Support Consultants during the sales process to help move opportunities to close

  • Maintain accurate notes, activity, and pipeline updates in CRM

  • Consistently follow up with prospects throughout the sales cycle
