Job description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Business Development Analyst is a critical global role responsible for accelerating sales growth of vehicle scales and systems within North America, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. This role works closely with sales and marketing teams, as well as the VEH strategic business unit to develop and deliver growth plans, training, market intelligence, and sales support tools. As a divisional role, this position collaborates with market organizations and distributors to address challenges in the sales process while providing targeted guidance on industry trends, emerging markets, and new product launches. Additionally, the Business Development Analyst serves as a market expert for vehicle weighing and works across multiple business areas to grow sales while representing the VEH SBU in group initiatives and cross-divisional projects. What you will do.
  • Identify growth opportunities, assess market trends, and guide cross-functional planning for new initiatives through partnership with global business development, application consultants, and product managers
  • Drive strategic growth through collaboration with MO sales leaders, marketing teams, and distributors within the Americas
  • Increase VEH scale knowledge across global teams, fostering a culture of client focus and strategic thinking
  • Partner with product and marketing teams on positioning, messaging, and portfolio strategy to ensure commercial readiness
  • Work amongst cross-functional teams to develop new tools, marketing content, methodologies, and technologies to support the sales process
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the vehicle scale market through data analysis, market research, and customer discussions, and serve as a subject matter expert for core vehicle scale segments and applications
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of global initiatives for the Industrial division
  • Serve as a single point of contact for internal requests, opportunities, and information related to VEH products and services
  • Facilitate internal knowledge sharing among global business units and business development teams within METTLER TOLEDO
  • Other duties may be assigned

What You Need to Succeed
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Marketing, Sales, or Business Development.
  • BS or BA from an accredited university.
  • Master's degree in business or marketing a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking with a demonstrated ability to understand and solve complex problems.
  • Understanding of MT organizational structure and relevant segments (Food, Chemical, Pharma, Aggregates).
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to transform raw data into a story.
  • Experience with professional autonomy and an ability to self-motivate while working independently.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to make new connections and affect change in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting to internal and external audiences.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally.
