Job description

Job Title: SAP Sr. Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead
Location: Houston, TX - Onsite - Login hours 6:00 am - 3:00 pm CST
Duration: 6+ Months
Job Summary: The SAP Sr. OCM Lead is a critical role responsible for developing, leading, and executing comprehensive organizational change management strategies and plans for large-scale SAP implementation programs. This individual will work closely with program leadership, functional teams, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure successful user adoption, minimize resistance, and maximize the benefits of the SAP investment. The Sr. OCM Lead will drive change across people, processes, and technology, fostering a positive and sustainable transition for all impacted employees.
Key Responsibilities:
  • OCM Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and implement a robust OCM strategy and detailed OCM plan aligned with the overall SAP program objectives and company culture.
    • Conduct comprehensive change impact assessments to identify areas of significant change for various stakeholder groups.
    • Define and track OCM metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of change initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
    • Identify, analyze, and manage key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan, including messaging, channels, and frequency, to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the SAP journey.
    • Facilitate workshops, town halls, and other engagement activities to foster understanding and solicit feedback.
  • Training & Readiness:
    • Collaborate with training teams to design and deliver effective SAP training programs (e.g., end-user training, train-the-trainer).
    • Ensure training content is tailored to specific roles and business processes.
    • Assess organizational readiness for go-live and develop mitigation strategies for identified gaps.
  • Resistance Management & Adoption:
    • Proactively identify potential resistance to change and develop strategies to address it.
    • Work with leadership to champion the change and reinforce desired behaviors.
    • Implement adoption strategies to ensure sustained use of new SAP processes and systems post-go-live.
  • Leadership Alignment & Sponsorship:
    • Partner with program leadership and executive sponsors to ensure strong alignment and active sponsorship of the SAP initiative.
    • Coach and advise leaders on their role in driving change and communicating the vision.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship:
    • May lead and mentor a team of OCM specialists or analysts, providing guidance and fostering their professional development.
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, functional consultants, business process owners).
  • Tool & Methodology Expertise:
    • Leverage industry-standard OCM methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR) and tools to support change initiatives.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve OCM processes and practices.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in Organizational Change Management, with at least 5+ years specifically leading OCM for large-scale SAP implementations (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC).
    • Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive OCM strategies, communication plans, and training programs.
    • Demonstrated success in driving user adoption and managing resistance in complex project environments.
    • Experience working with global or multi-national organizations preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of SAP modules and their impact on business processes.
    • Proficiency with OCM methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Prosci ADKAR certification highly desirable).
    • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
    • Experience with change management software or collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
