Position Summary

The Business Banking Specialist serves as a key point of contact for Business Banking clients, delivering exceptional service, Treasury Management support, and administrative assistance to the Business Banking department. This role serves as the primary support and backup to the Treasury Management Officer by assisting with Business Online Banking enrollment, setup, training, troubleshooting, and Treasury Management service administration. The Business Banking Specialist also provides administrative support to the Business Banking team, assisting with client onboarding, document collection, and coordinates workflow to ensure efficient and professional service delivery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer focused, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement.

Must be familiar with all applicable legal and regulatory laws and compliance. Understands and completes job responsibilities in accordance with federal and state compliance regulations. Ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction according to our Culture of CARE.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Serve as a primary point of contact for general Business Banking client inquiries, providing prompt, professional, and accurate support.
  2. Facilitate communication between business clients and internal bank departments to ensure timely resolution of customer requests and service needs.
  3. Assist business clients with Business Online Banking enrollment, setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, user administration, and ongoing support.
  4. Provide training to clients on Business Online Banking, ACH, Remote Deposit Capture, Positive Pay, and other Treasury Management products and services.
  5. Support and provide backup coverage for the Treasury Management Officer, including client onboarding, agreement administration, documentation, and client support activities.
  6. Assist clients with Treasury Management product updates or new product implementation and coordinate with internal departments to ensure successful service delivery.
  7. Assist with monitoring Treasury Management activities and preparing reports, risk assessments, and other documentation as directed.
  8. Maintain business customer files and assist with gathering, analyzing, tracking and organizing required documentation for new and existing client relationships.
  9. Provide administrative support to the Business Banking team, including scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, maintaining files, ordering supplies, making copies, scanning documents, and other departmental administrative activities.
  10. Assist Business Bankers with client relationship administration, document collection, account maintenance requests, and follow-up activities.
  11. Serve as a secondary point of contact when the assigned Business Banker is unavailable, ensuring timely response to client needs and inquiries.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer experience, and support department goals.
  2. Assist with internal and external audits related to ACH and RDC services.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned to support Business Banking and organizational goals.

Education and Experience

Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent banking experience is preferred. Experience supporting Business Online Banking and Treasury Management products is preferred. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and banking systems.

Software/Technology

Operates a computer in a Windows environment using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) for word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet/intranet and other bank specific software. Utilizes a variety of office equipment including computer, printer, fax/scanner/copier, and multi-line telephone.

Other Skills and Abilities

Strong computer and analytical skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, ability to maintain the integrity of highly confidential customer and Bank information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
