Position Summary

The Associate Relationship Manager, Business Banking is responsible for cultivating and growing a Providence/RI based portfolio of business clients. The role focuses on managing and expanding this portfolio, developing new business relationships, and ensuring client retention while contributing to net deposit growth, loan production, and revenue-generating products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to growth of the segment by executing against our segment strategy.
  • Execute against targeted growth goals of our core KPIs: New to Bank Business Relationships, Deposit Growth, Loan Production, Treasury Management, and Overall Fee Income.
  • Develop and maintain a network of business contacts, COIs, community leaders, and other referral sources to generate new business relationships and revenue.
  • Effectively manage and grow the pipeline consistent with production expectations.
  • Work closely with the team, Banking Centers, and cross line‑of‑business colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience and drive value for clients.
  • Encourage peers and colleagues to skillfully listen to client needs and identify business banking growth opportunities.
  • Source opportunities and work with the support team to package quality loans within our established policy and guidelines.
  • Independently package and present credit deals to segment leadership and the credit team.
  • Identify opportunities to add value through treasury management services and collaborate with the TM team to deliver solutions.
  • Ensure and uphold operational integrity by complying with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 3+ years of Relationship Management or Branch Manager sales experience, and 4+ years of banking experience.
  • General knowledge of credit with an ability to learn various financial analysis techniques and lending policy.
  • Proven track record of developing banking relationships, sales success, and strong Relationship Management skills.
  • Advanced degrees (Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s) preferred; a High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Combination of coursework and experience, or extensive related professional experience, qualifies for consideration.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in managing and growing a sales pipeline, fostering COI relationships and referral sources, and developing new business relationships.
Compensation

Estimated salary range: $115,000 to $130,000. Actual salary may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The position is eligible for incentive compensation.
