Description:

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year


Primary Responsibilities: An Audit Associate is responsible for assisting in the execution and completion of audit, review, and compilation engagements for a variety of clients.


Essential Duties:

  • Assist in planning and conducting financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.
  • Prepare and complete workpapers to document the procedures performed, the findings and conclusions reached, and any recommendations for improvement to meeting internal and external deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients and team members regarding the status of the engagements and any issues that arise.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
  • Stay up to date with current accounting and auditing standards and regulations.
  • Maintain proper independence in fact and appearance with all clients, as required by industry standards.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Working Conditions: Indoors. Air-conditioned office. Remote work available. Duties require

visiting other sites under a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions, including travel off-island.

Work Hours:

  • Generally, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Duties may require overtime. Weekends or additional hours as necessary to meet business needs.

  • Requires holding all confidential information in trust and confidence. Associate should only use, access, store, or disclose confidential information as appropriate in the performance of their duties for the Firm. An employee should comply with all applicable state and federal laws and company policies relating to access, use, and disclosure of confidential information.
  • Requires analytical ability, attention to detail, concentration, ability to multi-task and alertness.
  • Requires dealing with situations involving changing priorities, complex issues and maintaining cooperative and productive work relationships. Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Requires sitting for prolonged periods during meetings and at other times.
  • Requires working to established procedures, maintaining reliable work attendance.
  • Requires verbal communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting;
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Active Hawaii CPA license.
