We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analytics Manager – Retail to support strategic decision-making by translating and analysing data into actionable business insights. This role is responsible for driving meaningful outputs that drive category growth, pricing optimization, and overall business performance.

This individual will partner closely with Marketing and Customer Development teams to “connect the dots” across multiple datasets and uncover opportunities to accelerate Hill’s growth, share, and profitability across online channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the translation of complex retail datasets into high-impact business insights, strategically focused on:

    • Accelerating category growth and optimizing overall performance

    • Expanding market share and deepening consumer penetration

    • Leverage Revenue Growth Management (RGM) 

    • Orchestrating 7P implementation and tracking, to include pricing, distribution, and promotional ROI

    • Optimizing the digital path to purchase through traffic, conversion, and basket-level analytics

  • Synthesize disparate data streams—including clean rooms, syndicated data, and retailer platforms—to uncover emerging trends that drive retail growth and profitability

  • Architect and maintain standardized dashboards that visualize key performance indicators (KPI’s), providing real-time visibility into conversion rate, average order value, share of search, and digital shelf performance

  • Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional teams like Marketing and Customer Development to transform data insights into retail strategies that maximize sales, share, and ROI

  • Lead the standard for data storytelling, utilizing advanced visualization techniques to influence leadership-level decision-making

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, delivering agile ad hoc analysis to resolve critical business challenges and capitalize on online performance opportunities


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, Data Science, Marketing, or related field

  • 6+ years of experience in data analytics, with a strong focus on retail, digital analytics, or clean room environments OR related experience

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data extraction and manipulation

  • Expertise in data visualization and storytelling using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, or DOMO or any similar visualization tools

  • Experience building automated dashboards and scalable reporting solutions

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Experience working with clean room environments or retail media data platforms

  • Extensive experience in the CPG or retail industry, with a focus on digital commerce performance drivers

  • Advanced analytical and strategic capabilities, including predictive modeling and AI enablement for Business Intelligence

  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs (conversion, traffic, AOV, ROAS, etc.)

  • Proven ability to analyze retail category data, growth trends, and pricing dynamics

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex data into business-driving insights

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and influence cross-functional stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of digital commerce performance drivers, including assortment, content, pricing, and media


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $109,600.00 - $155,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
