PRIMARY FUNCTION:
StraitSys is seeking talented professionals to join our successful and growing team to provide support services to the FBI's Finance and Facilities Division (FFD) Huntsville Strategy Team (HST). StraitSys is tasked with coordinating the realignment of FBI resources to Huntsville, Alabama, as part of the FBI's Strategic Realignment Initiative (SRI). Additionally, this position may explore smaller transition opportunities to Clarksburg, West Virginia, and Pocatello, Idaho. The SRI includes the potential realignment of over 3,000 positions outside the National Capital Region (NCR), with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and creating synergies between FBI programs. The areas of emphasis necessitate the realignment of resources to include evaluating current program structure, relocating current employees, and recruiting and hiring individuals in the Huntsville area. To ensure a successful realignment of resources, the FBI has assembled the HST to focus on the change management strategy and Division support.
StraitSys is responsible for preparing and assessing the effect of the realignment on the workforce and recommending opportunities for cross-division collaboration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop communication products including presentations, briefings, executive messaging, newsletters, and reports.
  • Oversee internal and external communications efforts supporting workforce transitions.
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement activities and ensure consistent, effective communication across multiple audiences.
  • Oversee public relations and outreach activities to promote organizational priorities and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.

  • Ability to present information and respond effectively to sensitive issues.
  • Ability to solve problems involving complex situations.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance is required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • At least five (5) years of experience in communications, with specific experience in change management communications for government agencies.
  • Experience developing and managing internal and external communication strategies.
  • Knowledge of strategic messaging, media relations, and crisis communication.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders and government officials.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
