Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Business Analyst to support business and data analysis activities for a large-scale account conversion project.

The consultant will drive data analysis, data mapping, ad-hoc SQL querying, reporting, and conversion activities for a Mass Account Transfer (MAT) initiative. The role will collaborate closely with Operations, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and Software Engineers to map incoming data into the required format and integrate it into internal systems.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct data analysis, data mapping, and large-scale data conversions
  • Perform ad-hoc SQL querying and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data into internal systems
  • Gather requirements and create technical documentation
  • Follow software development methodologies such as SDLC โ€“ Agile/Scrum and Waterfall
  • Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to drive project outcomes
RequirementsRequired Skills
  • Strong hands-on SQL querying and data analysis experience
  • Experience with data mapping and large-scale data conversions
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
  • Experience with ad-hoc SQL queries, reports, and ETL reporting
  • Strong combination of IT Business Analyst and Data Analyst experience
  • Requirements gathering and technical documentation experience
  • Strong understanding of SDLC โ€“ Agile/Scrum and Waterfall

NOTES from hiring manager:

Role is straight contract only with a possible short term extension, no FTE conversions at this time.

Role is for local candidates only to work onsite at RJ in St Pete 3 days per week with one day either a Monday or Friday.

Need strong SQL queries (adhoc) experience against SQL and some Oracle as well. Experience with Adhoc reports and ETL reports.

Project involves large scale data conversions, prefer back office experience from BA/DA perspective.

Need IT BA skill sets to go along with the IT DA skill sets, highly prefer prior Financial Services experience within enterprise environment.

Attributes needed include being a self-starter, independent, organized, take initiative to drive project and business outcomes.
