About the Role:
The Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions by thoroughly analyzing and documenting business requirements. This position is responsible for identifying process improvements and ensuring that business objectives are clearly understood and translated into actionable project deliverables. The Business Analyst collaborates closely with stakeholders across departments to gather, validate, and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Additionally, the role involves conducting gap analyses to identify discrepancies between current capabilities and desired outcomes, facilitating effective decision-making. Ultimately, the Business Analyst ensures that solutions delivered meet user expectations through rigorous testing and validation, contributing to the overall success of business initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements in a professional setting.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in gap analysis and business process modeling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for creating process diagrams and workflows.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinating testing activities.
- Familiarity with data mapping and data cleansing techniques.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of macros for data manipulation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis).
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum project environments.
- Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data visualization platforms.
- Experience in the specific industry relevant to the hiring organization.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, document, and analyze detailed business requirements from stakeholders to support project objectives.
- Perform gap analysis to identify differences between current processes and desired business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain process models and workflows using tools such as Microsoft Visio to visualize business processes.
- Collaborate with technical teams to create data mapping and data cleansing strategies that ensure data integrity.
- Design and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans to validate that solutions meet business needs.
- Utilize macros and other automation tools to streamline data analysis and reporting tasks.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize business processes.
