What is a business analyst rotational program?

A Business Analyst Rotational Program is a structured early-career development initiative where participants rotate through multiple departments or functions within a company. The goal is to provide broad exposure to different aspects of business analysis, such as operations, finance, marketing, or technology, while developing key analytical and problem-solving skills. Participants typically work on real projects, receive mentorship, and build a strong foundation for future roles in the organization. This program is ideal for recent graduates or early professionals looking to explore various career paths within business analysis.

What types of projects and teams can I expect to work with during a business analyst rotational program?

In a Business Analyst Rotational Program, you’ll typically rotate through several departments such as finance, marketing, operations, and IT, collaborating with cross-functional teams on diverse projects. You can expect to work closely with project managers, data engineers, and business leaders, which not only builds your analytical skills but also broadens your understanding of how different parts of the organization operate. These rotations are designed to develop well-rounded analysts and can open pathways to specialized roles or leadership positions upon program completion.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a business analyst rotational program participant, and why are they important?

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Business Solutions team. In this role, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to define, design, and deliver enterprise business transformation initiatives leveraging AI, automation, and process optimization. You will help shape the product vision by gathering business needs, visualizing end-to-end processes, and ensuring smooth, agile-driven product development.

This role will play a key part in identifying and shaping AI-driven opportunities that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

This is not a data analyst or system analyst role — we are looking for a true Business Analyst who can bridge business goals with technical solutions.

Your Day as a Business Analyst

  • Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document product requirements.
  • Understand business objectives and how systems and processes are interconnected.
  • Visualize and design end-to-end business process flows to support product development.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and process optimization through automation and AI capabilities.
  • Perform user story mapping to ensure comprehensive product functionality coverage.
  • Contribute to building the actionable plans/roadmaps including key milestones, dates, priorities and interdependencies.
  • Support AI proof-of-concept initiatives, MVP definition, and iterative product delivery.
  • Identify quantifiable measures/ KPIs such as time spent on tasks to determine the success or progress of the proposed solutions.
  • Define clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria that guide development teams.
  • Coordinate and support functional testing, UAT preparation, and validation of AI-enabled solutions against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate regular feedback loops by gathering input from users to refine product features and functionality.
  • Manage backlog items using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Ensure thorough and comprehensive documentation of changes, updates, and new features.
  • Work within scrum or agile development frameworks to ensure timely delivery of product increments.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of business needs and technical solutions.
  • Support organizational change and user adoption activities related to AI and automation initiatives.

Our ideal candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 4-5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in product development environments.
  • A change mindset with an eye for continuous improvement and “can-do attitude”.
  • Strong expertise working in agile and scrum teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in documentation, process mapping, and user story creation.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders including product owners, developers, testers, and end-users.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar agile project management tools.
  • Action-oriented team player.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead discovery workshops and align diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and related process visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with Figma or similar collaborative design/prototyping tools used in agile product development environments.

This posting is for an existing vacancy position.

The expected salary for this role ranges from 75,000$ to 110,000$. Annual salary will be determined by factors including prior experience, location, business segment, and relevance of the candidate’s skills to the role.

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as PSM I, CCBA, CBAP, or AAC-IIBA.
  • Prior experience working in the insurance or consultancy industries.
  • Familiarity with AI and automation technologies.

What we offer

  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI products that drive real business value.
  • A collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Career development opportunities and support for professional certifications.
