Job description

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 34,000 people, in over 30 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a proactive and technically adept Risk Analyst to champion risk management activities for high-profile infrastructure programs within our Mobility Global Business Area. This pivotal role will drive the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across complex projects, supporting data-driven decision-making and stakeholder alignment in a rapidly evolving mobility landscape shaped by climate change, urbanization, and digitalization.

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead and contribute to the design and implementation of comprehensive risk management strategies that support successful project outcomes from inception through delivery. You will play a central part in facilitating engaging and interactive risk workshops, bringing together project teams and stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritize key risks and opportunities. By embedding risk thinking into day-to-day project activities, you will help ensure that risk intelligence is not treated as a standalone exercise, but is fully integrated into decision-making, planning, and delivery processes.

As part of this position, you will oversee the collection, analysis, and synthesis of risk data to provide clear, actionable insights for project leadership. You will enable teams to proactively anticipate potential challenges, respond effectively to uncertainty, and identify opportunities to improve performance and outcomes. In this role, you will also be responsible for producing regular risk analysis, dashboards, and executive-level reports that communicate complex information in a concise and meaningful way, helping both internal teams and clients make informed decisions with confidence.

Within this role, you will leverage digital tools, data-driven approaches, and sustainability frameworks to continuously enhance risk management practices across projects and programmes. You will support the optimization of mobility and infrastructure solutions by aligning risk strategies with broader project objectives, resilience goals, and community outcomes. Through your work, you will contribute to the delivery of thriving, connected, and sustainable communities, ensuring that projects are better equipped to manage uncertainty while maximizing long-term value for clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in risk management on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects, ideally within the mobility or transport sectors
  • At least 5 years in a client-facing role with demonstrated strength in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
  • Professional certification in risk management such as PMI-RMP or ISO 31000, and/or project management certification such as PMP, considered an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in risk management platforms and quantitative analysis tools including @RISK, Safran Risk, and Power BI, with the ability to interpret and communicate outputs such as distribution S-curve graphs, sensitivity tornado charts, and deep-dive schedule logic
  • Proven expertise in quantitative risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulation and schedule and cost risk modelling
  • Experience planning and facilitating hazard studies such as HAZAN and HAZOP to identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks
  • Strong understanding of ISO 31000 or similar risk management standards, with experience supporting the implementation of project or programme risk processes in coordination with risk leads
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a track record of delivering clear, practical, and actionable risk insights to senior leadership
  • Ability to design and lead collaborative risk workshops, mentor team members, and communicate complex risk matters effectively to diverse audiences
  • Experience integrating digital innovation, sustainability principles, and regulatory compliance considerations into risk management processes, along with willingness to work onsite at the client's office as required
