Job Description:

FIS Post Trading Platform (PTP), formerly known as Torstone, has a significant planned roadmap of change for its next-gen platform. This comprises both large-scale targeted product enhancements across multiple regions and maintenance of existing functionality.

We seek an experienced Technical Business Analyst to work within an agile framework for this modern real-time event driven securities back-office platform.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will provide technical business analysis support for product and client led change projects targeting the PTP platform. You will ensure that changes to product features are fully assessed to enable a suitable solution to be developed. Specifically, you will:

  • Work closely with the product manager, development and QA teams throughout the software development life cycle to plan and agree solutions, ensuring that they are communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and analyze the impact on the application from the introduction of new product features, and facilitate the breakdown of product requirements into technical work items
  • Liaise with other internal product and development teams to ensure that cross requirements are captured and documented as appropriate.
  • Produce required change documentation (e.g. use cases, acceptance criteria, technical specification) outlining the product needs.
  • Create, update and maintain product features specifications as required.
  • Work with professional services and implementation teams as needed
  • Work closely with other FIS business units where required to provide support for product or client specific developments and regulatory or industry initiatives.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, as a developer, technical business analyst or product owner, preferably in custodians, back-office securities vendors or broker-dealer operations
  • Strong knowledge of the securities industry flows in trading, clearing and settlement
  • Working experience with different North American market infrastructures with a focus on back-office clearing and settlement functions. e.g. DTC, CDS, NSCC, FICC.
  • Hands-on technical proficiency in Linux, SQL, REST API integrations, etc
  • Ability to read and interpret interface specifications.
  • Ability to interpret broad industry initiatives into detailed format requirements.
  • Proven ability to research, analyze and generate scope and business requirements documents.
  • Proven ability to analyze and breakdown product level requirements to technical work items.
  • Strong competency in using a workflow tool (e.g. Jira, confluence, or whatever) and
  • Strong presentation and product demonstration skills, and experience of procedure documentation
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities whilst adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Responsible, dedicated, self-motivated and dependable.

Added desirable experience:

  • Familiarity with OCC (Options), FundServ (MutualFunds), CTM (Trade Matching)
  • Knowledge of corporate action processing
  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
  • General understanding of user experience constructs
  • Experience in interacting with upper management and senior leadership

The pay range for this full-time position is $101,480.00 - $170,470.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
