Job description

Company Description
Zenith is one of Publicis Groupe's largest media agencies, spanning 95 markets globally with US offices in New York, Burbank, Chicago, Atlanta and Detroit. For more than 30 years, we have been at the forefront of media, helping to evolve and reshape the industry. We are highly regarded as a true agency partner by many high-profile brands for our expertise across numerous categories and wide range of capabilities that are unparalleled in the industry. Clients hire us for our track record of excellence in strategic planning, investment, and measurement. We also have specialist offerings, including content, commerce, multicultural and future-proofed data capabilities.
Job Description
What does Zenith Analytics do?
Working closely with both the Business Planning and Activation teams, Analytics designs the data strategy to tie our clients' marketing to real-world business goals. We then mine that data to optimize campaigns and tell the stories that bring our clients closer to their marketing, helping them understand if they're talking to the people they want, and if they're doing it the right way.
What does a successful Associate Director look like?
We don't all look the same, and we don't expect you to, either. But successful members of our team generally have a passion for emerging tech and media, bring a data-driven approach to decision-making, have a fresh perspective and share it in a positive way, don't shy away from a challenge, and are always hungry to learn more.
We look for prior experience in media analytics, especially digital media. You should already be used to representing your team to external clients, since Associate Directors are often the face of our Analytics team. We hope you're a numbers whiz and know how to bring data to life through a compelling story. We're also hoping you have at least six years of prior professional experience, with at least three years worth of experience managing junior-level staff members.
What does an Associate Director do day-to-day?
The Associate Director plays a pivotal role in our organization. They are the primary contact to internal and many external teams, and also provide guidance to our Managers and Senior Analysts. As such, Associate Directors are mentors, project managers, and thought leaders, all at the same time. This position will play a critical role in helping to demonstrate the effectiveness of media performance via analytical methods, from measurement strategy to data collection to analyses to actionable recommendations & optimizations.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the VP and SVP, Analytics to formulate a vision for the account, and then execute on that vision with their Manager and Senior Analysts
  • Provide oversight and guidance to Manager and Senior Analyst. Oversee team assignments and load balancing.
  • Responsible for project roadmaps, pacing towards milestones, and overall success.
  • Owns the learning agenda, measurement plan, and all reporting deliverables for assigned line of business
  • Proactively identify, research, and help implement innovative solutions
  • Works in close collaboration, and leads communications with internal and external stakeholders such as Strategy, Investment, Operations, Data Governance, Engineering, clients, and vendor partners, with the ability to adapt to varying audiences

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience working in an Analytics capacity
  • 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Bachelor's degree. Degree in a related field is a plus (i.e. STEM, Economics, Marketing/Advertising, etc.).
  • Agency experience is a must, as is knowledge of Marketing/Advertising industries
  • Comfort in working in highly ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments
  • Develop strong collaborative relationship with media team members and partners, earning credibility to drive results as a respected advisor
  • World-class customer service skills. Ability to service clients, partners and internal stakeholders by understanding their needs, translating those needs into creative solutions, and delivering on those solutions with diligence and a sense of urgency
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both external and internal clients
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills
  • A strong natural curiosity for analytical problems and data challenges - and the willingness to understand the role of data from strategy to execution to optimization
  • Proven skills in analytical and strategic thinking, project management, presenting, and communication
  • Thought leadership on all aspects of offline and digital advertising, media strategy and media measurement
  • Ability to develop and execute on Analytics frameworks such as learning agendas, measurement plans, test & learn roadmaps, and ability to steer complex analytics projects
  • Ability to act in a consultative role, evaluating and providing an informed point-of-view on new KPIs, data sets, and measurement partners
  • Strong understanding of traditional and digital advertising, strategy and measurement
  • Experience with digital media and analytics tools (Ad Servers, Measurement Vendors, BI Software)
  • Understanding of a broad range of online advertising media channels such as Search, Display Banners, Contextual, and Social, as well as subject matter expertise in at least one of these areas
