Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Senior Capture Manager to be responsible for leading capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. This position will support the Saab Inc. Land Systems Division's Advanced Weapons portfolio marketing and capture efforts within the U.S. and report to the Director of Strategy and Growth.

This position may be based in Saab's offices in Auburn Hills, Michigan; Syracuse, New York; Orlando, Florida; or Washington, D.C., with a preference for candidates located in Auburn Hills or Syracuse. The role includes responsibilities supporting customers and partners across the United States.

Travel is expected to be approximately 10-25%, including occasional international travel, primarily to Sweden.

Major responsibilities will include:

  • Present and promote products and services to existing and prospective customers.

  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis to meet existing and prospective customer needs.

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to expedite the resolution of customer issues.

  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.

  • Analyze the sales potential of customers and markets.

  • Track and document sales activities.

  • Assist in generating strategic capture plans and garner internal support to implement them.

  • Gather and report on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities.

  • Identify and make internal recommendations for new products and services.

  • Develop and maintain excellent relations with customers. Ensure continuing customer relations and an effective flow of information to deliver business objectives.

Compensation:

  • $101,600 - 171,600 for our Auburn Hills, MI; Syracuse, NY; and Orlando, FL office locations.

  • $121,900 - $205,900 for our Washington DC office location

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technical or related discipline. MBA is a plus.

  • 5+ years relevant experience in Aerospace and Defense environment, in Program Management, Business Capture, Business Development, Marketing and Sales. Industry experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience leading aerospace and/or defense business capture efforts.

  • Knowledge of the capture/business strategy and/or the US Advanced Weapons stakeholder environment.

  • Knowledge of the DoW acquisition process, and government procurement policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge of the US government budget process.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives in support of functional and business objectives.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

  • Capable of obtaining a Secret level clearance.

  • Must have outstanding customer relationship management skills.

  • Familiarity with U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps rocket/missiles/artillery and ammunition systems.
