Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the Director, Beyond Beer Strategy & Finance to manage the Marketing & Sales budgets in the Beyond Beer Business Unit
  • Financial Analyst ensures accurate financial results for monthly, quarterly, and annual finance/budget cycles
  • Managing the month-end process to report accurate financials by creating journal entries and collaborating closely with the accounting team
  • Overseeing brand spend trackers to understand actuals and create monthly forecasts
  • Creating monthly snapshots that include a variance analysis of the results versus budget, forecast, and prior year
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales brand teams to understand brand plans and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Process invoices for Control States

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years experience in a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or Accounting; MBA degree or CPA preferred
  • Consumer goods, food and beverage or retail experience preferred

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst Accountant analyzes financial information, data and statistics and utilizes accounting principles to ensure accurate reporting of financial results.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

General Ledger and Accounting Cycle

  • Ensure accurate financial results by preparing the financial data for the closing of the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles
  • Create General Ledger entries to record financial transactions including revenue recognition, expense accruals, prepaid amortization and intercompany transfers
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Perform detailed review of divisional expenses to ensure appropriate coding
  • Assist with the monthly fluctuation analysis of the Company's divisional results versus budget, forecast, and prior year
  • Support in the consolidation of divisional financial results for internal and external reporting purposes
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly Board of Directors presentation
  • Contribute to a variety of ad-hoc projects for the company
