  • CDL with S and P endorsements
  • CDL A/B with P, S, and Air Brake endorsement
  • School Bus Driver experience preferred
  • Good driving record
  • Possess Michigan School Bus Driver Continuing Ed card
  • Possess BBDT Enrolment card or State of Michigan Continuing Ed. Card
  • Good communication skills
  • Participate in professional development
  • Basic knowledge in first aid
  • Maintain a working phone
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam and drug screen
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk or hear and must possess physical abilities sufficient to employ physical intervention strategies when necessary. These abilities include reaching with hands and arms, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects and tools; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, maintaining balance.
  • Be able to regularly lift 50 lbs., and push/pull up to 100lbs.
  • Specific vision required for this job includes close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

  • Care of bus – (Standards specified by Transportation Supervisor)
  • Maintain all certifications and standards required for this position
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Assist students on and off the bus as needed (wheelchairs)
  • Implement and follow all plans as related to transportation
