Many drivers also have opportunities for overtime or additional shifts depending on the employer's needs.

How hard is it to become a bus driver?

Becoming a bus driver typically requires a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and passing a background check. Many regions also require a special commercial driver's license (CDL) and completion of a training program, which covers safety procedures and vehicle operation. The process can take several weeks to months depending on licensing requirements and training availability.

How many hours a day does a bus driver do?

Bus drivers typically work between 8 to 10 hours per day, including scheduled breaks. Their schedules can vary based on routes, shifts, and company policies, with some working early mornings, evenings, or weekends. Overtime and split shifts are also common in the profession.
