Job description

Miller Brother Staffing is looking for Burn Table Operators in the Youngstown OH Area!
pay: $17-$20/hour
Oxy / Fuel and Plasma Burn Table Operator
Summary of Responsibilities: This position will be setting up, adjusting, and operating the burn table to cut raw materials such as steel plates, structural, extrusions, etc. as assigned.
Specific Duties:
  • Work from verbal instructions, drawings, blueprints, sketches, bills of material, cutting lists, etc.
  • Sets up, adjusts, and operates Multi-Torch, hand torch, and Oxygen-Acetylene flame cutting equipment.
  • Uses drawings to determine how cuts should be made.
  • May perform simple cleaning maintenance operations.
  • Reports abnormal conditions of equipment to supervision.
  • Observes all safety rules and regulations and keeps work area clean and orderly.
  • Understanding of required PPE (how to select and why it is required)
  • Exhibit proper donning of PPE daily
  • Report safety hazards to supervision/mgt.
  • Attend monthly all shop meetings
Job Requirements
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Reliable/Dependable
  • 1-year experience operating a programable oxy/fuel burn table a plus
  • 1-year experience operating a programable plasma burn table a plus
  • Experience reading blueprints a plus
  • Able to read a tape measure.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Open minded and willing to learn company process.
  • Willingness to work any shift.
  • Ability to follow instructions provided by supervisor.
  • Burn 10, Edge Pro, or Messer Navigator burn table experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situation
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly
  • The Ability to lift 70 lbs
