Burleson Animal Emergency Hospital | Full-Time

Burleson Animal Emergency Hospital is a privately owned, 24-hour emergency-only small animal hospital looking for Veterinary Technicians to join our team.

We have a strong, supportive culture and a leadership team that values our technicians and the important role they play in patient care. We are a technician-driven hospital where team members are encouraged to use their skills, continue learning, and take an active role in emergency medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Inpatient and outpatient emergency care
  • Patient assessments and treatments
  • Laboratory and diagnostic procedures
  • Medication administration and drug calculations
  • Surgical preparation, monitoring, and recovery
  • Medical record documentation
  • Client communication and service
  • Supporting veterinarians and fellow team members
  • Maintaining hospital standards and patient care areas

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician who is confident working in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Strong venipuncture and IV catheter placement skills
  • Experience with triage and prioritizing emergency patients
  • Anesthesia monitoring and surgical technician experience
  • Patient monitoring, treatment, and recovery
  • Radiology and in-house laboratory skills
  • Medication administration and drug calculations
  • Accurate medical record documentation
  • Strong client communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work well under pressure
  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented

Emergency, surgery, and critical care experience preferred.

This is not an entry-level position.
