Pay Rate: $33.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on experience. 

The Class A Bulk Acetylene Driver position will deliver products to Linde customer sites via tractor trailer tankers. As a critical member of Linde's logistics operation, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting Acetylene Gas, Ethylene Gas (Tube Trailer) and occasional industrial gases (Tube Trailer) such as compressed Nitrogen, compressed Helium, and compressed Air, while ensuring compliance with all safety standards, laws, and regulations. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to safety, possess strong attention to detail, and adhere to company protocols related to transportation. Key responsibilities to include the following:

  •  Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Trailer coupling and uncoupling (drop and hook) when needed.
  • Connect and disconnect transfer hoses, ensuring secure couplings, hoses, and fittings.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during loading, unloading, and handling of supported gases
  • Manual Open and Closing trailer process, (multiple valves), will train.
  • Ensure hazardous material shipping orders/papers are in accordance with DOT regulations and LG&E Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation, logbooks, and records in compliance with DOT and LG&E Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate to management vehicle repairs and/or maintenance.
  • Maintain a professional partnership with external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs.
  • Continuously building your knowledge on how Linde's business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • 2 years of tractor-trailer driving
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements 
  • Lay over trips both in and outside of region boundaries/out-of-state, as needed
