• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of students to identify their mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral techniques, to assist students in achieving their mental health goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with teachers, school administration, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and provide holistic support to students.
• Participate in case consultations and peer review meetings to promote high-quality care and share insights.
• Provide education and support to students and their families regarding mental health resources and coping strategies.
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in mental health to improve your practice and benefit your clients.

This position focuses primarily on children and adolescents within the school system who are experiencing mental health challenges. Clients may present with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and trauma-related concerns. You will assess their unique needs and employ diverse interventions to facilitate positive outcomes and foster resilience.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Illinois.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience, particularly in psychotherapy with children and adolescents.
• Strong knowledge of solution-focused therapy and evidence-based practices tailored for youth.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and engage collaboratively with multi-disciplinary partners.

Experience working within a school environment is highly desirable, as well as familiarity with school-based mental health programs and resources. Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms to deliver services remotely will be considered an asset, especially given the evolving landscape of mental health care.
