Action Property Management, the leader in community management, is seeking a full-timeย Building Engineer IIย to join our team at our luxury association,ย Savina,ย located inย San Diego. ย  The Building Engineer II is responsible for overseeing all aspects of building maintenance and repairs at the assigned property. This role involves developing maintenance strategies and ensuring the building's systems and equipment operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills. ย  Compensation:ย $50.00 - $54.00 Per Hour ย  Schedule:ย Monday- Friday; 7:00 AM- 4:00 PMย

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for maintaining, correcting defencies, and/or making repairs to all common areas within the Association
  • Oversee all facets of the daily operations of the building, ensuring compliance with HOA policies and regulations as required by code and regulatory enforcement agencies.
  • Monitor and maintain optimum performance of all building systems to include mechanical, electrical/electronic, fire life safety, smoke control, security, HVAC, and water circulation system.
  • Coordinate and interact with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely maintenance and repairs, as well as adherence to quality standards.
  • Plan and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of building systems.
  • Collaborate with General Manager on modifications and improvements to building systems, including control software, to enhance efficiency and functionality.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of onsite high rise or mid-rise building engineer experience, preferably in property management, hospitality, or commercial property management.
  • Familiarity with the Uniform Commercial Building Code; HOA experience is a plus.
  • HVAC Certificationย ย EPA/608 Licenseย Fire Pump Certificate preferredย Fire Life Safety Director Certificate preferredย ย Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insuranceย 
  • Hands-on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting experience.
  • Experience in fire system management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Availability by cell phone 24/7 for emergencies.
Certifications/Licenses Required
  • HVAC Certification.
  • EPA/608 License.
  • Fire Pump Certificate preferred.
  • Fire Life Safety Director Certificate preferred.
  • Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
