Job description

Building System Automation Engineer (Controls Technician)

Pay Rate: $30.00HR

Location: 7500 Centurion Pk, Jacksonville FL - M-F 7am - 4pm

Team Overview: Candidate will be working as part of a team. This will be a blended team of employees and client employees.

Resource's typical working day: Will perform technical maintenance on Fire Alarm systems. Go through reports via email. System Analysis to ensure system is running properly. Some project work - Advising client on improving/changing systems. Interacting with outside vendors.

Licenses/Certifications: No specific license is required, but a qualified candidate will be certified in an applicable field.

Must Have Skills: Need to be technically adept at diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining control systems including PLC electronic and pneumatic controls. Utilizing data from operation system assessment reports to identify areas for improvement in material handling system reliability. Candidate must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to stand and walk while holding/carrying hand tools and other equipment.

Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with Robotics: Working with robotic systems and components.
  • SCADA Systems: Familiarity with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems.
  • Experience with Specific PLC Platforms: Such as Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5000.

Years of Experience: No specific experience required, but candidate must have applicable educational experience.

Education: Associate's Degree: In electronic technology or a related field. (Preferred)

Software skills:

  • SCADA Systems: Familiarity with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems.
  • Experience with Specific PLC Platforms: Such as Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5000.

Interview Process: 1 round in person interview with hiring manager and client, expect interview to go long.
