Summary:

The Paddock Building Supervisor is responsible for the dayโ€‘toโ€‘day maintenance, presentation, readiness, and operational management of the Paddock building and associated facilities at the Miami International Autodrome.

This position plays a key role in ensuring the Paddock building is maintained to a high standard throughout the year and is fully prepared to support the operational requirements of the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix and other events.

The Paddock Building Supervisor will coordinate routine and preventative maintenance, oversee contractors and service providers, identify and resolve facility issues, and support event build, event operations, and postโ€‘event activities.

The successful candidate will be a practical, handsโ€‘on facilities professional who takes ownership of the building and ensures that all Paddock areas are safe, functional, well maintained, and presented to the standards expected of a Formula 1 venue.

Location:
  • This is a fullโ€‘time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL, home to the Miami International Autodrome and the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix.
Responsibilities: Paddock Building & Facilities Management
  • Take dayโ€‘toโ€‘day ownership of the condition, functionality, cleanliness, and presentation of the Paddock building and associated operational areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building and facilities to identify maintenance requirements, defects, damage, and potential operational issues.
  • Coordinate routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive schedule of building maintenance and inspection requirements.
  • Ensure building services and infrastructure remain operational and fit for purpose.
  • Coordinate repairs and ensure identified defects are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, warranties, and building assets.
Contractors & Service Providers
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors undertaking maintenance, repair, cleaning, and facilitiesโ€‘related work within the Paddock.
  • Ensure contractors complete work safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
  • Assist with obtaining quotations and coordinating scheduled maintenance and repair works.
  • Monitor contractor performance and elevate issues where required.
  • Coordinate access to Paddock areas for approved contractors and service providers.
Event Readiness & Formula 1 Operations
  • Lead the operational readiness of the Paddock building in preparation for the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix.
  • Work closely with Sporting & Race Operations, Event Operations, Facilities, Security, IT, Hospitality, and other departments to ensure Paddock facilities meet event requirements.
  • Support the preparation and turnover of garages, offices, operational rooms, common areas, and other Paddock facilities.
  • Conduct preโ€‘event inspections and maintain readiness checklists.
  • Support temporary infrastructure installation and event overlay activities affecting the Paddock building.
  • Provide handsโ€‘on facilities support during event build and Grand Prix operations.
  • Respond quickly to building and facilities issues during event operations and coordinate appropriate corrective action.
  • Support postโ€‘event inspections, repairs, reinstatement, and transition of the facility back to normal operations.
Building Presentation
  • Maintain a consistently high standard of presentation throughout the Paddock building.
  • Identify areas requiring repair, painting, cleaning, replacement, or improvement.
  • Coordinate with cleaning and facilities teams to ensure all areas are maintained appropriately.
  • Pay particular attention to highโ€‘profile and stakeholderโ€‘facing areas used by Formula 1, the FIA, teams, partners, and guests.
Safety & Compliance
  • Support compliance with applicable workplace health and safety, fire safety, building, and operational requirements.
  • Identify and report hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure maintenance activities and contractor works are performed in accordance with venue safety procedures.
  • Maintain clear access to emergency routes, fire equipment, plant areas, and critical building infrastructure.
  • Participate in facility inspections and operational readiness reviews.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, property maintenance, venue operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance, preventative maintenance, and facility operations.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities and supervising contractors and service providers.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety, fire safety, contractor safety, and facility compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastโ€‘paced environment.
  • Proactive, handsโ€‘on, and solutionsโ€‘focused approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards for facility presentation and operational readiness.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in a stadium, sporting venue, major event, hospitality, commercial property, or motorsport environment is preferred.
  • Motorsport or Formula 1 experience is desirable but not required.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, evenings, holidays, and outdoors as required, particularly during event build and the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix.
