Job description

The Position:

Neelands USA Limited Inc. is searching for a Refrigeration Service Technicianย  - Georgia. Technicians are needed throughout Atlanta and surrounding areasย (Atlanta, Alpharetta, McDonough, Macon)

This position is regular, full-time. Reporting to the Lead Technician, the Refrigeration Service Technician (Commercial Refrigeration) will work closely with the team on repair, install, troubleshoot and preventative maintenance of refrigeration systems. This role requires the individual to be available during the weekdays for flexible hours between 7:00am โ€“ 5:00 pm and for โ€œon-callโ€ rotations for 24/7 coverage. The individual may be required to work weekends.ย 

Responsibilities:

  • Response to service calls, scheduled maintenance and repairs for refrigeration and mechanical equipment;
  • Perform diagnostics to detect malfunctions and defects in equipment;
  • Install and braze equipment;
  • Troubleshoot to ensure the system is functioning properly following repairs;
  • Learn and perform proper service practices;
  • Effectively communicate and update all information regarding assignments to the team;
  • Assist in building service area and region;
  • Provide own basic tools for the trade;
  • Build and maintain positive relationship with customers or clients;
  • Other duties as required including working in other departments;

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma;
  • EPA Certification: Universal
  • Must have 2-4 years experience in a servicing supermarkets or warehouse refrigeration racks;
  • Valid driverโ€™s license;
  • Must be able to travel within Georgia;
  • Excellent communication skills (read/write/speak);
  • Strong mechanical aptitude an asset;
  • Brazing experience an asset;
  • Ability to use hand and power tools is an asset;
