We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager, Building Security, to join our team. In this role, you will support all facets of training and facilities for Player 15 Group, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.
Your Role on the Team
  • Deliver training programs for full-time and part-time security staff, including emergency response, de-escalation, access control, and customer service
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of security team members
  • Implement procedures for staff to conduct briefings using consistent methodologies and leads briefing sessions as needed
  • Perform and maintain consistent, periodic schedule for basic safety inspections of the inside and outside of the facility.
  • Manage and maintain security technologies. Including cameras, access control systems, and related infrastructure, while developing end-of-life replacement plans and budgets
  • Support staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for events, daily operations, and emergency needs
  • Compile, document, and process all information related to claims, incidents, and legal matters; coordinate with internal and external counsel when required
  • Maintain confidentiality on all lawsuits and company business issues
  • General knowledge of life safety codes for compliance during non-event and event operations.
  • Frequent attendance and participation in meetings involving team members of all levels, including front-line employees, executives, clients, and vendors.

Your Skills and Experience
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to develop posting, briefing sheets and interact with internal and external partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to respond to escalated incidents and must have excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • At least 7+ years of industry experience and supervisory experience
  • Experience leading organizations of 100+ employees preferred
  • OSHA 10 card required; OSHA 30 preferred (must be acquired within 6 months of start)
  • Required Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
  • Major market arena or large building security management experience preferred
  • If applicable (role-specific):
    • Ability to transit throughout the building for long periods of time. Varied days and hours worked. Extended hours worked in a single event day can last between 10 - 16 hours long to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
    • This position will require some traveling and off-site work. Work responsibilities could be inside or outside, in the heat or the cold. This position will also have to work under noisy conditions (i.e. concerts).
    • S-Sedentary Work - predominately computer-based
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person
    • Must understand that you may be put into positions to break up physical fights
    • Ability to Read, Write & Speak in English
