At the United Center, we bring excitement to life through sports, entertainment, and community. Home to the Chicago Bulls (NBA) and Chicago Blackhawks (NHL), we've welcomed over 70 million fans and host more than 200 events annually, from premier sporting events and concerts to family shows and special industry events. In the role as the Building Security Supervisor – Third Shift, you will help our team bring the next round of stories to life on the United Center campus.

The Building Security Supervisor – Third Shift will monitor Building Security Team Members working on a specific shift to ensure a safe environment for the United Center and all its Team Members.

3rd Shift Building Security Supervisor: 11PM-7AM


What you’ll do:

  • Supervise Security Officers, ensuring proper performance and compliance with duties and security procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and conduct patrols to ensure staff adherence and security of the property.
  • Track time and attendance, address performance or attendance issues, and communicate key information to management.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings, provide training to Security personnel, and oversee security across all United Center buildings.
  • Be available for overnight shifts and additional responsibilities as needed.

What you’ll need:

  • Ability to supervise security team members during assigned shifts.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and write reports. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Security programs.
  • Ability to solve problems, and handle situations with limited standardization.
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school, or 3–6 months related experience or training.
  • PERC Card certification, CPR & AED, and valid driver’s license.
  • Stand, walk, and sit up to 1/3 of the workday: Lift up to 10 pounds for up to 1/3 of the day.


The pay range for this role is $25.50 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include 401K retirement plan with company match, paid time off and commuter benefits.
