Vice President of Operations - Alaska

This position is based in Anchorage, Alaska. Must be willing to relocate to Anchorage, Alaska.

JL Hospitality Management is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Operations to lead a significant portion of our growing Alaska hotel portfolio. This executive leadership role will provide strategic oversight for several geographic regions encompassing approximately half of our Alaska hotels.

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and strategic growth across a diverse collection of branded and independent hotels. This leader will partner closely with General Managers, Area Leaders, and executive leadership to develop high-performing teams, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and uphold our culture of hospitality and servant leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a multi-property portfolio spanning several geographic regions throughout Alaska.
  • Lead and support General Managers and Area Leaders across approximately half of JL Hospitality Management's Alaska hotel portfolio.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, labor management, and expense control.
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and brand compliance.
  • Partner with Human Resources to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Lead operational initiatives, property transitions, openings, renovations, and acquisitions.
  • Analyze business performance and implement strategies to improve results.
  • Build strong relationships with owners, brand representatives, and community partners.

What We're Looking For

  • Multi-property hotel operations leadership experience required.
  • Strong background in branded hotel operations, financial management, and team development.
  • Proven success leading General Managers and regional operational leaders.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout Alaska.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, or similar brands is highly desirable.
