Manages and oversees operations for the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine (SFESOM) Building. This role will provide a knowledgeable single point of contact for internal and external constituents. Serves as a liaison to departments responsible for laboratory and simulation center oversight within the building and to external food and beverage and common area management vendors to ensure operational success. Assumes responsibility for space and event management, mail and package delivery, procurement of building supplies, and other functions to ensure efficient building operations. Responsibilities
  1. Develops and implements policies and procedures pertaining to SFESOM Building operations and customer services.
  2. Interfaces with departments and vendors to market and promote special events, food and beverage services, and simulation center/lab opportunities to internal and external customers.
  3. Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing complaints, concerns, and suggestions and providing appropriate follow through.
  4. Provides strategic direction by setting short and long-term goals, estimating budgetary requirements for events staff, space and equipment planning, and implementing special projects and policies.
  5. Partners with events management staff to support the successful execution of events, including collaboration on contract negotiations, resource planning, AV and technology needs, event analysis, budget reconciliation, and customer feedback; provides hands-on support in event management as needed and coordinates invoicing and billing processes.
  6. Coordinates building maintenance and repairs with Facilities Management that affect normal building operation.
  7. Develops and implements facility safety and emergency training/protocols.
  8. Serves as a liaison between the Dean's Office and Facilities Management, Campus Police (onsite security), and other *service vendors; oversees building access requests, room scheduling, mail and delivery services, and directory management.
