A leading investment bank, private equity firm, corporate finance team, or strategic advisory group may seek a Financial Modeling Specialist to support complex financial analyses across transactions, strategic planning, capital allocation, and performance forecasting.

This role is ideal for candidates who excel in building robust financial models, translating assumptions into insights, and supporting senior professionals with data-driven decision-making across M&A, capital markets, and corporate strategy initiatives.

• Build, maintain, and audit advanced financial models, including 3-statement operating models, DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, and scenario analyses

• Develop forecasting and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business performance, investment returns, and strategic outcomes

• Analyze historical financials, operating metrics, and key value drivers to support modeling assumptions

• Support M&A, capital raising, restructuring, and strategic finance engagements through model-based insights

• Customize models for deal execution, valuation, budgeting, and long-range planning purposes

• Prepare clear model outputs, exhibits, and analytical summaries for internal and client-facing presentations

• Assist with due diligence, data validation, and model documentation

• Collaborate with senior bankers, investors, and corporate finance leaders across deal and strategy workflows

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline

• Strong passion for financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical problem-solving

• Demonstrated proficiency in building structured, flexible, and auditable financial models

• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple models and workstreams in a fast-paced environment

• High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

• Prior internship or experience in investment banking, private equity, FP&A, consulting, valuation, or transaction services is beneficial

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, with working knowledge of PowerPoint and financial research platforms
