Overview
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the candidate will work to complete preventative maintenance, work orders and inspections as required. This is a client-facing position. We are looking for a candidate who is dependable, experienced and can work independently in a fast-paced environment on complex systems to complete the tasks given in a timely fashion.
The base hourly rate is aligned with market data and is estimated between $30.00 to $34.00 an (hour) with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus. This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.
Responsibilities
  • Work with computer-based Building Management Systems (BMS) computer and other computerized monitoring systems (elevators, fire systems, work orders system, etc.)
  • Perform light building repairs - carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, ceramic tile
  • Perform daily inspections of mechanical rooms, office and kitchen spaces
  • Working knowledge of heat - Electric boilers, electrical baseboards,Heat pumps cooling tower
  • HVAC - working knowledge of heat pumps, fans, computer controls
  • Snow removal - as needed
  • Respond to occupant requests and needs and coordinates with Property Management Team to assist in resolving issues
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance and standards established in the service agreement are being met
  • Responsible for facilitating maintenance with vendors and construction crews
  • Document repairs on work orders • Maintain accurate and pertinent information as required
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with, client, tenants, vendors, and construction workers
  • Be on call as directed by Chief Engineer: rotating schedule one week per month for night and weekend coverage
  • Open, read and respond to company emails
  • Attend meetings as directed
  • Supervise and/or escort contractors
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by Chief Engineer, Management, or Client

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial building maintenance
  • Massachusetts driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in written and verbal communications
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Self-motivated, proactive, organized, ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
