Jentzsch Kearl Farms is seeking a reliable and experienced Building Maintenance Technician to perform facility maintenance, building repairs, and construction projects across our agricultural operations in Southern Idaho. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional with experience in construction, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance who enjoys hands-on work and a variety of projects.

Jentzsch Kearl Farms is a family-owned agricultural company that has proudly operated in Southern Idaho since 1981. We manage over 40,000 acres across seven counties, producing potatoes, sugar beets, hay, corn, watermelon, squash, and pumpkins while maintaining a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and integrity.
Responsibilities
As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will:
  • Perform general building maintenance, preventative maintenance, and facility repairs.
  • Complete construction and remodeling projects, including framing, drywall, insulation, painting, concrete work, finish carpentry, and installation of doors and windows.
  • Perform basic electrical and plumbing installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, fixtures, appliances, and company facilities.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs and installations.
  • Assist with project planning, budgeting, permits, and code compliance.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management.
  • Perform additional maintenance and construction duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related trade.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial or residential construction methods and maintenance practices.
  • Experience with carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Spanish-speaking ability preferred.
