Job description


This position requires knowledge of many different types of maintenance.  The position may be focused on painting and spending the majority of the time doing carpentry, building, refurbishing, and designing, within the carpentry field. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete work orders as assigned-general mechanical, structure repair, painting, etc.
  • Preform assigned preventative maintenance tasks and make recommendations for repair, replacing or improving equipment
  • Perform light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and carpenter duties as assigned
  • Assist co-workers with major electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry related projects
  • Assist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories and logs
  • Track and document observations, recommendations, and completed assignments through various project and maintenance software systems
  • Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes
  • Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices
  • Always act in a professional and courteous manner with clients, co-workers, vendors, etc.
  • Utilize materials, supplies, tools and other building property in a safe, productive manner
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Ability to learn new skills and be independent as well as work well within a team atmosphere

Additional Duties

  • Participates in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.
  • Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks.
  • Assists in shipping and receiving of warehouse supplies and materials.
  • Checks building at beginning and end of shifts.
  • Assist with Vendor Management
  • Support the maintenance in warehouse cleanliness
  • Participates in building coverage by working evenings and Saturday rotation as required


Qualifications: 

  • At least 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician or similar related role
  • Ability to communicate using email, and some experience working with a computer
  • Available to work evenings/weekends and overtime
  • Knowledge of lite plumbing, electrical, carpentry, lock smith, painting, HVAC etc.
  • You must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience
  • Able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment, racking overhead lighting overhead door plumbing / Electrical    welding ability
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
  • Must be safety minded
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC maintenance
