Job description

Job Title: Photo Etch Inspector

Job Description

The Photo Etch Inspector verifies the quality of precision metal parts through visual inspection and dimensional measurements, removes parts from sheets, and prepares them for shipment in accordance with documented criteria and company procedures.

Pay: 18.90/hr + overtime available

Shift: Second (2nd) shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow instructions on travelers and other company documentation to complete all required inspection and processing tasks accurately.
  • Complete company documentation correctly to record manufacturing lot information, measurements, and inspection results in a clear and traceable manner.
  • Work under direct supervision and follow established instructions and techniques to process parts consistently and correctly.
  • Inspect parts at a bench using a microscope to determine conformance with internal and customer inspection criteria.
  • Use drop gauges and handheld micrometers to measure material thickness and verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Use handheld tools to form metal parts according to specifications and process requirements.
  • Remove parts from sheets using scissors, clippers, or hand-powered cut-off tools, depending on part design and requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inspection processes and make recommendations that help reduce part costs and increase throughput in the inspection department and across the plant.
  • Maintain accurate, organized records of inspection activities and ensure all work complies with quality standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve inspection issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
